Whiting Bay were the hosts this year for the Hope Cup and hopes were high that we could win the trophy at home for the 3rd time in the last 4 years. The quarter Finals were played on a drizzly day on Saturday 18th with Whiting bay as hosts getting a bye into the semi finals. First out were Lamlash and Lochranza Castle, with Lamlash eventually winning easily. The tie between Machrie and Shiskine was much closer with Machrie finally edging through. The final of the first round ties saw last year's winners, Brodick, playing Corrie. For most of the way Brodick were ahead but Corrie finished strongly to tie the match at the 18th. At the first extra hole Corrie won through thanks to a super birdie putt from Euan McKinnon. 

 The semi finals on Saturday 25th paired old rivals Lamlash and Whiting Bay. Again it was a very close affair and after 18 holes the overall match was tied. Lamlash finally won at the 2nd extra hole to book their ticket for the final. The 2nd semi final saw Corrie edge out Machrie Bay in a close match. The final between Corrie and Lamlash was very close, with Lamlash finally winning on the last green thanks to a super putt from Dougie McFarlane.
