Golf Coaching at Whiting Bay
Although we do not have a full time pro, Whiting Bay is proud to be associated with Bill Lockie, joint record holder on the course and acclaimed past coach to both the men's and women's Scottish National teams.
Bill led a Golf Academy at the Club this summer.
The event was a great success and we are considering how best to offer similar coaching in future. If you would like to express an interest in potentially attending in future offerings, please email the Club.
Introduction to the Golf Academy
The program is aimed at golfers of all ages & abilities and is open to members of Whiting Bay and non-members alike.
Over a full two days, you will enjoy a combination of traditional coaching and practical advice from Bill during two rounds of golf. The focus on Monday will be on the golf swing; driving and iron play, and on Tuesday the emphasis will be on improving your game around the green; pitching, chipping and putting.
In order to maximise the benefit to participants and allow plenty of time for everyone to work directly with Bill, places will be strictly limited to 15 golfers only.
Lunches are included on both days. Also included for those attending the whole programme will be a buffet supper on Monday evening, featuring a talk from Bill on 'golf's mental game'.
The cost is just £70 for the two day program.
If you prefer, you may elect to participate on just the Monday or Tuesday at a cost of £40 for the day.
Limited additional tickets are also available for the buffet supper and talk at £10 per head.
Places will be allocated on a first-come first served basis. To book, call the Club between 8 am and 6pm on 01770 700487. Please note that payment is required in advance to secure your place and is non-refundable unless the event is cancelled or postponed by the Club.

A Little About Bill Lockie
Bill has had a long association with Whiting Bay. He is currently the joint course record holder, so knows the course very well indeed.
