Saturday 17 March - Texas Scramble
Fourteen people came along to the Texas Scramble on a beautiful Saturday morning. The winners were John, Danny, Mary and Trish with 60.9. In second place were the aptly named Buggyless Warriors with a 64.8. Special note goes to Bryce Walker who formed part of the Buggyless Warriors team and to everyones surprise, delight and much relief managed round all 18 holes on foot. (sorry Dad)
Sunday 18 March - WhitLam Chocolate and Trophy Stableford (Ladies)
Fourteen ladies from Whiting Bay and Lamlash came together for this new friendly fixture in the 2nd match of this hotly contested match for the chocolates and trophy at the end of the year. The weather was perfect for the 2nd day running and the "missing forestery" across the top of the course did nothing to put us off. With Lamlash stealing the lead after the first round at Lamlash, it was time to take back the points and Whiting Bay pulled away to secure the lead this time. Whiting Bay got total team stableford points of 178 with Lamlash at 158. When averaged out and added up to the first match the scores are Whiting Bay 50.6 with Lamlash at 48.2. This is THE competition to follow ladies - if you are not in this - you should be.
